I'm hoping that VR will change the way we interact with computers today, my carpal tunnel syndrome is just getting worse

I love spending time behind my keyboard and mouse, but during the last year my right hand has gone from hurting a little bit somedays, to hurt at all times every day. But I can't stop using the computer since it's such a big part of my life. (I'm a professional drummer and I pretty much had to throw that out of the window).

I kickstarted ControlVR in hopes of receiving input that I could configure to use in any "ergonomic" position. Standing, sitting, laying down. But they're being delayed so now I'm looking for something that could help me in the meantime. There's ergonomic "handshake" mice, "shoe" mice and whatnot. I play all kinds of competitive games so I'm wondering if anyone here have the same issues and found a mouse that works well for them?
