In an English dept meeting at school today

Definition (by process of roots, prefixes and suffixes) -- this is how many in my department want to begin to teach vocab

Argument

member: a part of the body

dis-member to take a body apart

This would suggest that member could also be used as a verb meaning 'to put together'

prefix 're': to attempt a second, or nth, time after a failed attempt

Therefore

Remember should mean 'to put a person together bodily after a failed attempt at physical reconstruction'

It's all coming together -- Vocabulary just got a lot more interesting, and fun.

Now, when my uncle says "I remembered that deer you done shot..."

You did what?!?
